I'm wondering what the future of dotmesh will be, with dotscience shutting down?

It's my baby, I'll keep it alive :)

man I discovered this project and was full of hope - seemed to be exactly what I was looking for. Gutted that is seems to be on life support.

Is there any other active project that provides this kind of functionality ?

what use cases of dotmesh are you particularly interested in @jmls?

In terms of distributed storage for k8s, I'm using https://longhorn.io/ in production

In terms of data versioning and provenance, worth looking at https://dvc.org/ or https://www.pachyderm.com/

I'm interested in keeping dotmesh alive though - if you try and use it and have issues, let me know on here - or find me on mlops.community (Luke Marsden) slack 😄

Just a minor point... The dotmesh website doesn't look like it's been updated since 2019 (see footer), which gives the impression that the project has been abandoned.

But I see here that it's still alive, so I'm definitely gonna give it a go!

My hope is that this works well with my team for managing snapshots for our functional and integration testing system. Basically, for seeding a particular microservice with a given state.
