4 years ago I have a Net Core 3.0 solution that I want to test under Net Core 3.1 but in Visual Studio 2019 16.4 Preview 5 under Application Properties the Target framework only shows .Net Core 3.0. If I edit the project file(s), projects and solution will not compile stating:
Error Project '..\RssImageProcessorX64\RssImageProcessorX64.csproj' targets 'netcoreapp3.1'. It cannot be referenced by a project that targets '.NETCoreApp,Version=v3.0'.
Error NU1201 Project RSSImageX64ProcessorNetCore3 is not compatible with netcoreapp3.0 (.NETCoreApp,Version=v3.0). Project RSSImageX64ProcessorNetCore3 supports: netcoreapp3.1 (.NETCoreApp,Version=v3.1)
Error NETSDK1045 The current .NET SDK does not support targeting .NET Core 3.1. Either target .NET Core 3.0 or lower, or use a version of the .NET SDK that supports .NET Core 3.1. If I create a new .Net Core 3.1 project in Visual Studio 2019 16.4 Preview 5 it lists both Net Core 3.1 and Net Core 3.0 under VS Application Properties, and allow downgrading the Net Core 3.1 to Net Core 3.0.
So for existing Net Core 3.0 solutions, how do I upgrade from Net Core 3.0 to Net Core 3.1 when using Visual Studio?
