Can you post a sample to help us determine the cause? The VB sample runs in VB.NET. without more details, it's hard to know what should change.

I am trying to run this on vbs not vb.net Open Notepad and copy and paste from the website using IE to notepad, save as function.vbs or any file name.vbs Try to run the vbs as is pasted from the website, don't even have to actually call the function.
