NullReferenceException when using JSON columns with database provider that does not support them (e.g. SQLite, MySQL) #29738

I follow the sample almost completely , but it report the null reference..

p.s
Once I Delete the lines that contains ***.ToJson() ， everything will be ok.

Include stack traces

@occulter This looks like #29632. Are you using SQLite?

Thanks for answering me. But what I used is Mysql , the provider Nuget pack is Pomeo.EntityFrameWorkCore.Mysql (version: 7.0.0 ) in whose release notes shows support to JSON COLUMN

@occulter the new ToJson support released in EF Core 7.0 currently only works for SQL Server. The Pomelo MySQL provider has its own JSON support - check their docs for more details (/cc @lauxjpn).
