I suspect this is just a situation where omnisharp-roslyn is being a bit paranoid and not allowing a project to limp along even if MSBuild reported an error. I think we can make this a bit more robust.
If you have any pointers where to start with this one, I'd be happy to see if I can submit a PR.

Steps to reproduce
v1.9.6
and VS Code with the C# plugin installed.Expected behavior
Both Sublime and VS Code should resolve definitions.
Actual behavior
Sublime resolves definitions, VS Code does not.
In the thread linked above Dustin asked for OmniSharp output/if there are any problems. The output pane reads:
Note it complains a lot that I haven't restored packages or ran ./build.sh, which is probably the issue, but for my purposes is cumbersome and from my perspective shouldn't be required.
