It looks like the app is trying to download Deployment.styles.css for the generated style sheet, but that's returning a 404.

• First, can you confirm that your project is actually named Deployment?
• Second, when you run the app, can you check that the environment name shows up as "Development"? Some aspects of the development experience require this specific environment name.

I've been a .net developer since asp+ 🙂

The project is named Deployment since that is the domain I was targeting. I checked the environment and also tested it on a different computer as well as had my team leader try it.

I've also tested with all defaults, the result doesn't change.

Also, can you try running the project from the command-line using dotnet run and see if the outcome is any different?

I did just try doing a clean install of VS 17.10.5 in a Windows Sandbox and then building and running a default Blazor Web App. It ran fine for me without issue, so there's something weird going on here.

This is happening during development, not publish, so I think the generated CSS file should be in the obj folder somewhere.

We did find it buried in the obj folder as I recall but there was no way to refer to it during debugging and no way to get it where it was supposed to go through VS.

During development, the file should get served from that location. I wanted to verify with your project that the file was actually being generated, but it sounds like you've already checked that. So, I think that means the problem is with serving the file. Unfortunately, I haven't been able to reproduce this issue myself and I'm not sure what other diagnostic info to collect. @javiercn Do you have any other ideas on why the generated CSS file might not get served?

Could you file an issue through the report a problem dialog in Visual Studio.

• Generate a binlog file with dotnet build /bl and include it in the VS issue.
• Include the staticwebassets.*.json files found in the bin folder.

Note that binlogs might contain sensitive information, hence why we ask that you don't share them here.
