Weird hard disk detected #349

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 8 years ago

I have 2 disks.. 1 is RAID the other is SATA.

The RAID, or something else, is being picked up with garbage for the name, and
no children objects.

The screenshot attached shows 0.3.2 on the left, and 0.4.0 on the right.

Same here on 0.5.1 beta.

I have an SSD which is recognized correctly.
The disks with the garbage names are RAID0 volumes on "Intel C600 Series
Chipset SATA RAID Controller" (that's what it says in Windows' Device Manager)
It's the integrated controller on the ASUS P9X79 Delux mainboard

The one that displays the Used Space value is partitioned/formatted, the other
one not.

The garbage names seem to be 30 bytes of random unallocated memory, as they
change every time I re-open OHM.

It would be nice if that controller was supported (including SMART data and
everything)

Also the mainboard temperatures behave a bit weird. Temperature #1 (around
25°C) seems to be below ambient temperature (around 27°C) - which can't be.
Also it rises when I turn up the fans, while other temperatures decrease.

cheers!
