I created this as new issue as that issue's author is concerned with coloring groups - my this input would have resulted in mingling of conversations

Grouping

It's just:

breaking the line (if in thumbnails view) - similar to newline in text; and
putting in separators there.

But yeah, i don't use thumbnails view that much so, it's fine without that too :)

Other Problems

To remove a sort from a column currently is fiddly
it ain't clear which column sort is at higher priority
changing priority of sort is also not straightforward

Proposed solution

Having a small dialog to edit this multi column sort - it can be called ____ (thinking about it)
this dialog can be made accessible via: say blank space context menu
as the dialogs can contain more controls than the list view can sensibly contain.

this can also enable saving the multi sort options (just like the shown column are saved) which could be changed from same context menu as the column's one
