Bad things happen pretty much everywhere. It's just that there are... different bad things. And different good things, too. While inside you can lose wood for other stuff, wanderers can trick you into unhappy bargainings. There's also the sick man scene (I think it could be connected to the pandemic events happening outside). But the basic line is the one you found out. Being outside allows you to check wood and traps, it's more useful for the game. But it cannot be without risk.
Can we get some input on this? Do we want events from other tabs to run all the time or only when your in that specific spot? currently when in the room the village bad events stop happening and vice versa, what would be better?
This is a very old discussion, but I think it would be good to keep it the way it is to reenforce the idea that the player only sees the villagers as tools and doesn't really care about them.
I don't see a difference between the village tab and the room tab; it's more a case of "you do things in both tabs, and there isn't enough room to show it all at once".
In particular, I am watching the timers in the village to click on resources (how did this game get so addictive?)
Finding out that this is hurting me, and I need to tab back, try to guess when to check traps, etc -- really annoying.
