EoS GPS equipment collects and provides data only in the GCS ITRF 2008 datum.
Currently for US users, there is a converter in ArcGIS Collector to transform GCS ITRF 2008 data to NAD 83 2011 (the US datum) data. So their solution works with collector for US users.
In Canada the datum is NAD 83 CSRS98 and there is no conversion routine in Collector to convert GCS ITRF 2008 to NAD 83 CSRS98.
This is now a requirement needed for side loading grid base transformation to add a datum transformation for GCS ITRF 2008 to NAD 83 CSRS98, a solution that did not exists for Canadian users until Collector (Aurora).
The TRX tool appears to provide the capability to convert GCS ITRF 2008 points to NAD 83 CSRS98 points.
As a workaround with the new side load grid base transformation with Collector (Aurora), a custom geographic transformation (.gtf) is created using ArcMap according to the government the 7 transformation parameters (3 translations, 3 rotations and 1 scale factor) as a Helmert method.
Description:
Creating new location profile for custom geographic transformation side-loaded via iTunes, are not recognized. Once the GNSS coordinate system and map coordinate system is chosen, instead of getting a map view for your data area, the following message is displayed:
“No transformation is required, or no valid transformation is available”
Steps to reproduce:
• Create/Add new location profile
• For GNSS Coordinate System, select “GCS ITRF 2008 (104257)”, Next
• For Map Coordinate System, select “GCS North American 1983 CSRS (4617)”, click Next
==> Error

Expected Behavior
No Map View Area is proposed to choose the work area and next panel to choose the custom transformation needed. Instead error is encountered. End results, cannot finish creating new location profile.

• Create a custom geographic transformation with ArcMap.
• Setup your pedata folder as outlined in https://github.com/doug-m/CollectorAuroraTesting to side load the desired transformation via iTunes
• Create/Add new location profile
• For GNSS Coordinate System, select “GCS ITRF 2008 (104257)”, Next
• For Map Coordinate System, select “GCS North American 1983 CSRS (4617)”, click Next
==> Error
