Layer is not accessible for online editing #238

Open ananovosel opened 5 years ago

Issue

When using ArcGIS Enterprise in offline environment (accessed over VPN), layer is not displayed on map and cannot be edited. When map is opened in app, there is no collect option. In layer list it shows: Error performing Advanced Symbols operation. But hosted layer uses default Portal symbol.

Expected Behavior

Layer should be available for collecting and editing. The same map works normally from current Collector Public Beta app version.

Hi @ananovosel

I have a few questions for you:

  • What version of Portal are you using?
  • How was the feature service originally published? i.e. ArcMap, Pro, etc.
  • Can you please share a screenshot of the error message in Collector?
  • In your testing, you compared this holistic build of Collector Aurora with the current public beta version of Collector Aurora, and only this holistic build has this problem. Is that correct?

Thank you -Kevin

Hi @Kevin-GIS This test was done in customers' environment - 10.7.1 ArcGIS Enterprise. Feature service was published from ArcGIS Pro 2.3. You are correct, issue was only with private beta edition used for holistic testing, while things work fine with current pubic beta.

I believe this is caused by a Windows update on the server PC. This patch should address it once applied to that server: https://support.esri.com/en/download/7726
