Describe the solution you'd like

Would like a way to stream point data collection just like vertices on line layers. Setup attributes you want collected for each point then just use stream to collect point data.

Additional context

• This could be used to capture gps receiver information in a way that could be turned into a line layer later. Would get accuracy of each point so I know how accurate everything was.

• If I was able to connect to a 360 camera, I would like to stream point data collection where it takes a photo each time a new point is placed.

@BrettFrahm are there other attributes beyond GPS metadata you'd want to capture with associated points? Would you want the line feature created at the same time, or prefer to leave to a post-processing step?

Would appreciate if you can share some additional details on the specific workflow you've got in mind.

Thanks for taking a look at this. The main reason I'm interested in point data collection is I am unable to capture gps metadata in line layers. It's important for us to understand how accurate our data is without having to babysit the GPS receiver while multi-tasking with other things like driving. I currently can't think of anything else I would do with the associated points besides attachments as I mentioned with photos, but I would like it so I can set attributes before streaming so I can collect that data as well(just like line data streaming).

I would likely prefer to create line layers as a post-processing step so I can eliminate certain points and split up the line as I see fit
