Hello,

We are contacting you because you have enabled Facebook as an identity provider for your Amazon Cognito User Pool in your AWS account.

Cognito User Pools uses Facebook Graph API v2.12 for supporting Facebook social sign-in [1]. Facebook has announced that this version of the API will not be available after May 1, 2020. As a result, we recommend you upgrade the API version of your Facebook integration to at least v5.0 in the Cognito User Pools console and any automation you may have for creating user pools.

This upgrade may affect user attributes retrieved from Facebook. For example, some attributes have been deprecated by Facebook in newer API versions and will stop returning values [2]. If you use any of these attributes, you need to update the attributes mapping for your Cognito User Pool to continue receiving expected values. The same might apply to API calls made directly by your application to Facebook APIs with a Facebook access token that is saved as part of your attributes mapping.

To continue working with Facebook social sign-in, Cognito User Pools will auto-upgrade all 2.12 Graph API versions to v5.0 before May 1, 2020. We will send follow-up message to you before this auto-upgrade takes place.

Applicable user pool(s): us-east-1_Yn89yKizn

Please refer to the documentation link for steps on how to Add Social Sign-in to a User Pool and how to select Facebook API version [3].

I can't tell whether this requires any action from me. It's not close to Passover, so I don't expect any usage in the next few days. I'm just going to wait a few days and see if Facebook login still works.
