Rxjs Observable undefined - Cannot read property 'fromEvent' of undefined (modal-service.js) #219

Since upgrading to to Rxjs 5.5.2 and ng2-bs3-modal 0.13.0, I get the error: Cannot read property 'fromEvent' of undefined (modal-service.js).

Solution?

I appear to be getting this too.... It only happens on a build with angular/cli 6 "optimization": true,
