I am trying to test HOH again, but when I get to Heels 5 screen, I cannot see full room, so I do not know where heels is if it out of screen.

it is called the “camera centering on / following the character” 😄 and is definitely a feature not a bug

[ alt ] & [ shift ] & the numpad† keys [8] [2] [4] [6] will move the camera, & [5] will center on the room

†that’s not the row of numbers above the rows of letters

the window is quite small, yeah, but the size of the game’s screen (window) can be set at the moment by editing the ~/.headoverheels/preferences.xml file or by giving the game’s binary the --width= and --height= arguments.... and also yes, I’m going to add the opportunity to change it (not only to look at it) via the game menus, here’s #30

My mistake I did see the camera options, and did press them on keypad, but did not release you must also press the Alt and Shift keys also. Sorry

no problem, I’m counting this issue as the +1 vote for “hey hurry to add setting the screen size via the interface menus

plus I can change shifting the camera from the combinations with [ alt ] and [ shift ] into just the numpad keys without modifiers... unless some of these keys are used as the game controls

any way, holding the [ option/alt ] seems really an extrafluous legacy from the “ancient” times of the first cheat combinations of keys

My mistake I did see the camera options, and did press them on keypad, but did not release you must also press the Alt and Shift keys also. Sorry

since eedede8 moving the camera doesn’t require holding the [ option / alt ] modifier key

and shifting the camera when it is centered on the active character cancels such centering

I updated the Magic keys wiki page

because I saw keyboards with no numeric keypad, I have on my mind to present replacement key combinations (without using numpad)
