Never ending plateaus #25

It seems like if you plateau once it never stops. So something needs looking at with the resetting to make sure that it properly resets.

GitHub comment: This bug is persisting and needs resolving. If it ever energy plateaus then it never gets a solution ever again.

Looks like this was fixed by 659788f. Seems to have been a boring old overflow error.
