Now that the asynchronous tracking code is standard, the GA code should really be loaded inside the head tags. I know from a tracking standpoint this isn't a huge deal, but when setting up Search Console, it is not possible to verify using Analytics (the easiest method) with the code in the body/footer. It is also best practice now, and the Google instructions say very clearly to place the code in the head.
I know it is possible to do this now inside of PP settings, but most people are just going to drop the code into the GA box in the settings instead of moving it over to the <head></head> box.
