Large text expands the viewport

Particularly on mobile devices, when text is too large/long to fit, it spills outside the viewport. This causes the screen to be scrollable left-to-right among other issues.

We should consider one or more of these solutions:

selectively use overflow-x: hidden; to prevent scrolling
use word-wrap: break-word; to split long/large words onto multiple lines to prevent text from being unseen
support the ability to resize text responsively (see issue #767 )

This problem has been seen primarily for text widgets, typically the title but sometimes the body if the design uses a large font and the text contains long words (common in other languages like German).
