Plugins breaking auto-update #783

There are probably more plugins causing issues but two that I know of for sure are wp-optimize and the premium version of yoast seo. Essentially what happens is the update page we open in the background doesn't return a full html page, and our javascript that "scrapes" that page looking for a successful update fails. We should also consider refactoring the auto-update process when tackling this issue.
