Problem with Firefox Nigthly - Beta tester advice #242

Your DownThemAll! and Browser Version and Language and Operating System

My DownThemAll is 3.08, Firefox Nigthly v57.0a1 64bits, Windows 7 64bits

Expected Behavior

Open the Download Manager Wiindow and start download the file

Actual Behavior

Open the Download Manager Wiindow incomplet (without up bar)and don´t show file progress and don't start download the file. The word "loading" stay stopped in middle of window manager. To close it is necessary close the window on taskbar (no close button is showed). It's not possible use the extension in next download, to do this is necesary close the browser.

Steps To Reproduce

Click on link and select DownThemAll option to download

Additional info such as log extracts

Please enable Diagnostic Logging in the Privacy tab of the DownThemAll! preferences and either copy/paste essential part of the log or attach the entire log. Please note that the log may include sentitive information which you have to remove prior to posting it!

Same problems here with today's nightly but unfortunately I think the addon has been abandoned for future releases. This has been one of the most useful features for making Firefox usable and it's going to be missed. Best to stay with 52esr for as long as possible.

@Drjhonny I'm surprised that you were able to install it at all. It wasn't even supposed to work with Firefox after v57.

Now in 57.0a1 isn't more supported. Does anyone know another good download manager?

@Drjhonny I just gave up and switched to Pale Moon, because DTA will most likely always work on there.

You can still use Firefox ESR 56 for now and the better part of next year. By then there will surely be some kind of replacement for DownThemAll!

The new webext API makes it so that addons like DownThemAll aren't possible.
