Replace docker-compose with either:

• netlab - uses libvirt or containerlab for the virtualization and simplifies the post setup
• containerlab - uses docker-compose but abstracts a lot of the setup and manual docker-compose build out

Try eos-downloader to automate the download of vEOS or cEOS versions. You just need a personal account arista.com to download those for labing.

SR-Linux is also free to download without any account using docker pull ghcr.io/nokia/srlinux

I tried containerlab but it automatically creates a network assigns IPs and I like to have control over them since I want the devices to be on same network with my netbox/dev/monitoring stacks. eos_downloader sounds great, I will give it a try
