You had the log directory hard-coded into this spark. Many people place their logs outside the webserver directory (ex. /var/log/, etc...). It's best to just use the user's configuration settings.

thanks for the pull request. does this work in all version of CI or is this config path a new addition?

Yep, all the way back to version 1.0 beta. :-)
