This still does not work due to https://www.drupal.org/node/2479377 and an Ajax error. Do we need to add tests for this?

It still does not work when using AJAX.

I came across this issue because I hadn't pulled from the token.module repo since December.

No tests required since its just chasing unstable upstream API changes

This PR only fixes one of three 'token_tree' uses.

The fix from this PR has been absorbed by e6287190.
