Group is maturing well. I will investigate integration in the near future.

Allow referring to Groups as a registrant. (Groups can opt in communications to various roles within the group).

Groups is now very mature, stable and usable. Being able to specify a group as the registrant would be an excellent addition (think of a Soccer team enterign a tournament for instance) I have a need for this ability now. Is there any plan to progress this?

I agree now is the time to start development.

At this time I don't have have any plans to progress personally.

I would be happy to get involved but my Drupal coding experience/knowledge is very close to zero. Would this be a plugin ? Contact appears to allow an entity other than 'user' to be a registrant. Would this be sensible code to inpect to get some ideas on where to start?
