IRC Channel #42

Thought it may be fun to have an IRC channel and to deploy BillingsBot, a legally aware Hubot (not yet deployed).

If anyone wants to hack on something, may be cool to link the bot to Open Law APIs or something like that. Example, BillingsBot get me the legislative history of PubLaw XYZ. Perhaps no interest or time, but thought I'd propose.

Random thought: If BillingsBot responded to email, lawyers would use it.

Oh. That's a great idea. I know IRC isn't a tool lawyers would normally use. I'll check if Hubot has an email module.

I like the idea, IRC might be more useful long term than email, which for many people is already overloaded.

I checked and Hubot doesn't have an email inbox. Suspect it wouldn't be too difficult to build (and may be helpful if people want their questions to be private), so if anyone wants to hack on that feel free!
