Why don't you simply use Format | Font Style | Clear Font Attributes (or Ctrl+0) ? and optionally: Format | Paragraph Style| Clear Paragraph Attributes (or Ctrl+Shift+0)
If you don't want to exedute two commands you can define a macro that executes that two commands in sequence, and assign a keyboard shortcut to it.

Uh... because I didn't notice this option? ^^; It's exactly what I was looking for, so thanks, and you can just ignore my suggestion.
A button (and command in the
Format
menu) to clear all formatting for the currently selected text would be useful.It would clear all text formatting and reset it to the font and background color defined as default for the current editor (
F4
dialog box).
