Thanks, I'll check it out. It would be a mistake, it would not be intentional.
Hello @s427 I have repeated the case you describe (although setting the file to close after 1 minute of inactivity). After waiting a few minutes I tried to open it with the Hotkey and it opened correctly (both in W10 and W11). I have also repeated it with the latest version I am working on, and it also opened correctly, placing itself in front of the other windows (in W10 and W11). Anyway, I will be on the lookout in case I observe this anomalous behavior at some point.
By the way, what Hotkey activation do you have? Do you use W10 or W11?
Hi. On my part I encounter this behavior pretty consistently so that's strange. Not a huge deal though.
I'm using W11. The activation shortcut is AltGr+Shift+é
(on a Swiss French keyboard; the é
key is immediately to the right of the L
, so ASDFGHJKLé). Weird shortcut I know, but I chose it because it's very easy to do it with one hand. :)
Update : I think the bug only happens if the KN window is NOT maximized.
I'm talking about the Windows buttons on the top right corner of the KN window:
I have the option "Close Notes file after (120) minutes idle" enabled.
In the following situation:
If I then use KN's activation shortcut, KeyNote's window appears, but it is NOT in focus; it remains behind the other windows. I have to press the shortcut a second time to bring KN to the front and in focus.
I'm assuming this is a bug?
If I use the activation shortcut when the file is NOT closed, then the app is immediately brought back to the front of all other windows (no need to press the shortcut twice). I would expect that to be the case also when no file is opened.
Using the latest version (1.9.5 .2).
