Hi
Don't be worry, GTalkSMS is register as a SMS reader. So when you receive a SMS
a part of GTalkSMS is called.
If the application isn't started/connected we do nothing.
The Android OS didn't know if the application is started, so we are called
anyway.
GTalkSMS ask a lot of permission because we use many features of the phone,
it's the power of this application.
If you understand Java you can have a lock on the source code available on this
website.
I'm closing this issue because it's not a bug.
For this kind of questions don't hesitate to use the mailing list

Thank you

Just to ammend: The SMS receiver is active even when the App is not running
because we have a feature that allows to start GTalkSMS by sending a special
keyword via SMS.
