the easiest way I found was to use iphonebrowser. It even has support for going
directly to the ebook directory (which you still have to create once)

thank you benoitcerrina. but can you elaborate more as i find that the safari
browser doesnt have the function to download etc. from the web.
the situation is like this : my iphone is 1.1.1 and using the installer i have
the
books.app. now i want to add free ebooks from the gutenberg project website. my
friend (computer guy) helped me by following the procedure mentioned at google
code,
later to find out it is only working with mac.

no I am talking about a windows app called iphonebrowser
