Wrong cities listed (Philippines) #288

The cities in Western Visayas in the Philippines are all bunched up in the state Antique which is incorrect.

The official data for this can be found at the Philippine Standard Geographic Code (PSGC) published by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).

At the right part of the page, there is a "Latest Release" section with the "Publication.xlsx" file.

Also it should be noted that the Philippines has the concept of "Municipalities" which are like small cities.

A municipality is a local government unit (LGU) in the Philippines. It is distinct from city, which is a different category of local government unit. Provinces of the Philippines are divided into cities and municipalities, which in turn, are divided into barangays (formerly barrios) – villages. As of 7 September 2019, there are 1,488 municipalities across the country.

The heirarchy goes like:

Region
District / Province
City / Municipality
Submunicipality / Barangay
Barangay
