Add lessons from other languages? #94

Hi ... I from germany, rhineland-palatinate and we habe moodle-System offered by the country. We installed MooTyper but as there are not really good german lesson-files ist is difficult to use it.

I have found material that we could use and of course everyone can upload it for themselves, but this is quite inconvenient as there are several files. I'm afraid that some teachers would rather give up than make the effort.

So my question is whether and how it would be possible to add new exercises?

Regards from germany, Birgit Lachner

Hi Birgit, There are three ways I can think of right off hand, and I have another that needs development and is in my TODO list.

  1. Create a new lesson name and enter the first exercise by clicking the edit icon while in MooTyper, and select, Add new lesson with exercise. Once the page for that opens, type in the lesson name and either type in the exercise, or copy and paste it in, while also setting the access permissions. Then save it. After that, you can add more exercises to the new lesson by clicking the, Add new exercise to this lesson, button. The teacher doing this gets to set access permissions to the lesson.
  2. Have a site admin place a complete and properly formatted lesson file in the yourmoodle/mod/mootyper/lessons, folder and then click the edit icon while in MooTyper, and select, Import lesson/KB layout. Using this method the lessons should be usable by all teachers.
  3. Send me the lessons and I will include them in the next MooTyper release. Once your admin upgrades to the new MooTyper, the lessons should be available to all teachers.

It's been over one and half years with no further response, so I am going to close this issue.
