Unit is not starting after longer storage in the dark #31

We never managed to get this thing working correctly, and here are my latest observations: If the unit was stored for a longer period in the dark, causing the battery to discharge, it will not start automatically when the battery is charged again under sunlight. I was forced to reopen it and unplug/replug the battery to get it working, as pressing the button had no effect. We are using firmware version 1.5.1, but we will not implement this on a larger scale (such as a truck fleet) due to its unreliability.

Hello, is the battery charged to more than 2.8V? Otherwise, it will not start because the ESP32 will have a very high current when it starts. We will reproduce the problem you described. Can you tell me the version number on the PCB board?

You need to create a node on TTN and then activate TrackerD-LS. You can see the TrackerD-LS activity information on TTN. You can also use USB to connect to the PC and use the serial port tool to view the information. When the battery power is sufficient, disconnect the USB cable, it will remain active, and data messages will be sent uplink according to the TDC time interval.
