modifying devkit8000_defconfig file causing problem #179

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
My intentions is to do mux config on 40pin IO expander, turning one of the MMC2
pin to become a GPIO that I wanted to control.

Is this ok to let the beagle stuffs inside the devkit8000_defconfig file or I
need to disable it? My concern it will make the MUX not working.

Currently, without care the android os able to load I able to latch the IO that
I preferred to use seeing from scope, by proceed the following to be mention
step 1 & step2.

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1.commented/disable CONFIG_MACH_OMAP3_BEAGLE=y &
CONFIG_SND_OMAP_SOC_OMAP3_BEAGLE=y. Even though it is a devkit8000_defconfig
files somehow beagle feature is there!
2.or enable CONFIG_OMAP_MUX=y

What is the image version having this issue? You can see that from
"/version.txt" in the image.
Version:linux-2.6.32.9

What is the date of your image built?
Date:today

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
after proceed with step 1 & step 2. Manage to compile kernel image without
error. then load it to devkit8000. once done restarts, devkit8000 will load
until the words "android". Stuck there forever.

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
beagle-eclair

just tried to use back the default devkit8000_defconfig(). able to latch IO
that I have configure. so far problem solved. but still worry about having two
type of board beagle & devkit8000 enable in the config file, or there is
nothing to worry about?
