I've updated file above to remove some blanks but some institutions include multiple mergers and others don't. So reading from left to right: grid_id; latest file_no; current institution_name; previous file numbers and names. Have added column headers in this version if this helps grid IDs for South African universities.xlsx . Feel free to reformat
