term "vendor-provided" #7

Just a query - is this term correct even if data are publicly available?

Vendor provided at times will refer to the raw point cloud data provided by the company that captures the data. These point clouds are not always public unless offered through a third party organization like 'OpenTopograpgy". I can see the confusion tho, since we refer to vendor provided as both the point cloud data offered by the collector and the third party organization

Hm, tricky. Is there a more generic term that’s more neutral? Something like data source, data holders...
