Upon waking the Steam Deck from sleep, EmulationStation will function for only a few seconds before becoming irrecoverably unresponsive. I have waited for as long as 10 minutes with no improvement, at which point it needs to be force closed and re-launched.
I suspect this bug is due to having some large roms in mapped network drive folders. This setup functions 100% without issue the rest of the time, but on waking from sleep SteamOS requires a few seconds to reestablish network connections. This brief reconnection period may be causing EmulationStation to freeze and never recover.
This would be a minor issue, except that having a large rom library means EmulationStation takes several minutes to open while scanning games, making it inconvenient to close and re-launch regularly instead of using the Deck’s sleep function.
