Unable to authorize #23

What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Downloaded app from code.google.com as download from shop failed 
repeatedly... Mailed to self using gmail, downloaded and installed
2. Open App 
3. Click on Connect With Soundcloud

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Assuming a login page of some description, not sure as never reached any 
further!

Instead I receive a blank page with a pop-up which reads "Please select "allow 
access"..." and then it returns to the app startup screen with an error which 
reads:

Authorization failed.oauth.signpost.exception.
OAuthCommunicationException:
Communication with the service provider failed: 
http://api.soundcloud.com/oauth/request_token

What version of the product are you using? On what device / Android
version?
Soundclouddroid version 1.1.3 on HTC Hero with software 1.0.0.A6288

Back testing previous version, I am receiving an identical error on version 
1.1.2 and simply an "Authorization Failed." error on version 1.1.1 - assume 
this is for the same reason but with less detailed error logging.

Also - currently have Firmware 1.5 installed on the Hero - will attempt to 
upgrade this evening and see if this makes any difference.

Thank you so much for the detailed bug report!  We've been trying to fix the 
authorization bugs but we haven't been able to reproduce them so all the fixes 
so far have been only educated guesses.  Your detailed report should be really 
helpful.

Hi Stjepan - not a problem. I'm a sysadmin so I know how important it is to get 
as many details as possible! Btw - I had a look for later software versions for 
the Hero and am unable to find any until HTC release their version of Android 
2.1 for the Hero later this month...?

If there are any other tests you think may be beneficial let me know.

I've had the same problem with htc desire and stock 2.1 rom, now everything is 
working fine after latest OTA upgrade

SoundCloud Droid version 1.2.2. BETA is now available for download from 
http://code.google.com/p/soundclouddroid/downloads.

The new version uses a more robust authorization process to connect with 
SoundCloud, hopefully addressing numerous issues with the old process 
(http://code.google.com/p/soundclouddroid/issues/detail?id=23).  It also 
announces an upcoming app name change to MusiCloud.

Please let us know if you run into any problems.  If we don't find any issues 
with the beta, the new version will be released to the Market.
