Would be great to be able to search and playback tracks on soundcloud. The
more similar to the excellent soundcloud player the better. Behaviour
similar to lastfm/spotify for headset use and pausing for calls would be
desirable.

We started working on it and have the feature functioning, but it's not yet 
polished enough for a release.  I can 
post an alpha version of the next release here on Google Code if anyone wants 
to test it out.

We've been busy working on http://urbanstew.org/phxfringe/ which has slowed 
down our development a bit, but 
we'll speed things up again after this weekend.

Version 1.1.0 (BETA) of SoundCloud Droid can now be downloaded from 
http://code.google.com/p/soundclouddroid/downloads/list

It allows tracks to be streamed for playback and downloaded as an MP3.  For 
now, only the user's tracks can be 
accessed this way, but search functionality will follow in a subsequent version.

There are a few more things that need to be added before this is released to 
the Market (hence calling it a 
BETA), but we wanted to get this intermediate release out for anyone that would 
like to try this out / help with 
testing.

All issues mentioned here have been implemented except for "Behaviour
similar to lastfm/spotify for headset use" and "pausing for calls" - I'll 
create new issues to track these enhancements.
