Immutability In the past, any medical data collected has been vulnerable toalteration with several negative consequences. For instance, data can be altered athospitals to conduct insurance fraud, or corrupted data when aggregated can lead todangerous conclusions in drug trials and other research projects. Data stored in ablockchain is timestamped, cryptographically sealed and immutable, and anyretrospective changes are immediately apparent. Use of blockchain technology willtherefore make data falsification a thing of the past.
