I'd like to provide an initial known state of a Polled Directory #24

When starting a DirectoryPoller, I'd like to provide an initial state, for example from a previous instance of a DirectoryPoller.

Work is in progress for this, should possibly also solve #2 #10 #23

@ercanebiler thanks for the reminder 🙂 Most of the work is done I just need to do some final fixes.
