can happen in firefox and chrome, not sure whether for the same reasons

This may have been resolved by the fix to #4 . The issue there was that the rehighlight was occurring before the final transformation had been applied. I don't think it's guaranteed that transform changes will take immediate effect, so this bug may crop up again somewhere else. If it does, consider deferring rehighlight with setTimeout(0)
