While I currently prefer the modal approach for the Dashboard Navigator plugin, I understand your suggestion to replace the new tab with a dashboard navigator panel. It's a valuable idea that I'll keep in mind for future updates.
Regarding the embed option, I'm already working on a feature to embed the dashboard navigator search results directly into a note. This will allow you to add queries to tags or other data while working within your note. Still need to test some features and make it more user-friendly.
My time is really limited due to my schedule these days, but I'm committed to implementing the embed feature as soon as possible. It's nearly ready, so stay tuned for the next update.

Ctrl+T, the dashboard navigator panel appears as a new tab. After we select a file in the dashboard navigator panel, this file appears in this tab in place of the panel.Describe the solution you'd like Make the dashboard navigator panel able to open in a tab, just the way we open notes or canvas. Or allow us to embed the dashboard navigator panel into a note. And then we can make use of new-tab-default-page plugin or obsidian-homepage plugins to set this panel as our default new tab / home page.
