Is the LSOA a fixed list or free text? Is the decile a number from 0 to 9?
Lower Layer Super Output Areas (LSOA) are a geographic hierarchy designed to improve the reporting of small area statistics in England and Wales. As far as I can tell, it is a 9 digit code which starts E01015
the IMD Score is used to rank all the LSOAs in England from the most deprived to the least deprived, allowing users to identify how deprived areas are relative to others. This seems to be a number ranging from 1.853 to 73.557
Deprivation deciles are based on the Index of Multiple Deprivation 2019 (IMD 2019), which is the official measure of relative deprivation. Decile 1 represents the most deprived and Decile 10 represents the least deprived.
Recently we have been asked to target work at the most deprived areas.
It would be useful if this information could be added to the postcode record in some way so that it could be reported on. The key element is the Lower layer Super Output Areas (LSOAs) but the DeprivationDecile would also be useful
