Erm, maybe! The libra.fm site appears to be down at the moment, but I'll take a
look
at it later. I'm planning to do an update to Scrobble Droid in a few weeks, so
I'll
decide then.
Thanks for the suggestion!

Oops, that should have been libre.fm... sorry about that!
I've spent a couple of minutes knocking together a patch for the trunk version
of the
code - I hope it's of some use, as my Java knowledge is... well, patchy at
best! I
just kept tweaking it until it stopped showing errors for the code I wrote!

Thanks for the patch. I'll probably do it a slightly different way, with a
button
that pops up a dialog so that it's harder for people to change accidentally.

This sounds great! I was just looking over the code to see if I could do it
myself.

Hi jjc1138 is there any chance you could do a build even with the shockingly bad
patch I wrote, as I'd really like to start scrobbling with libre.fm, but I think
you're using a different version of the SDK than I am, as I get a load of
errors when
I try.
Thanks :)

Are the build errors because of the missing IMediaPlaybackService.aidl file by
any
chance?
You can download it from:
http://android.git.kernel.org/?p=platform/packages/apps/Music.git;a=blob_plain;f
=src/com/android/music/IMediaPlaybackService.aidl;hb=HEAD
and put it in src/com/android/music (you'll need to create those folders)
Does that help?

I would be very much interested in Libre.fm support as well!

Just to confirm, my patched version of Scobbledroid is flakey and crashes a
lot! It's
quite obvious that my Java skills are worse than I thought they were!

Is this being considered at all or is it a won't-fix?

I'd like to do it, but I'm afraid I can't promise when that will happen.

Cool, I just wanted a heads up if this is even being considered. Don't feel
pressured, I wish I could help with a patch. You do have my moral support,
though. ;)
Thanks, mate!

I've noticed that "A-Simple-LastFM-Scrobler" does a similar thing to
scrobbledroid,
but also supports libre.fm.
