Question about pairing key #5

Open ghost opened 8 years ago

Sorry to bother you with this, but maybe you read it. I don't want to control my tv with phone or any other way, but I get this 6 digits pairing key popup. There is no phone connected to local network only a few laptops, a tablet and a pc. Is there a way to turn this feature off? I had no luck with the (non-existent) lg support. It started to behave this when I connected it to the PC with a HDMI cable. dscn6360

I simply don't know. That is something which I myself have not encountered before.

The only thing I ever found out about was a SOAP XML request which asks the TV to display a pairing key.

Which you would then enter into your phone, not the other way around. Perhaps you have a different year / generation / version of LG TV. They tend to change the way it works year on year.

@dreamcat4 Thanks! Is there a WSDL file somewhere which describes the available commands? I don't know what kind of communication interfaces my TV has. It's about 5 years old.

I installed smartshare on my PC a few minutes ago. I did not see the popup since then, so probably that solved the problem. Fingers crossed. :D
