There is proposal for an alternative UI in AuShahdha. I have implemented it now.. just to start things off and to keep tweaking it till we get a good improvement over the exsting one.
Once you login please redirect manually to http://localhost:8000/AuShadha/alternate_layout/
This is the beginning . We will keep changing it as we discuss issues. Once it seems stable, we will swap this for the old one.
This way we can incorporate new ideas without stagnating the development process.
Regards,
Easwar

On the dojo1.8_sandbox version downloaded October 12, 2012, the patients are listed on top, with demographics listed on bottom. Being separated, the user's eye must constantly move up and down to keep track of which patient is selected, increasing the likelihood of mixing up patient information.
Request: each patient should open up in different browser window. This increases latency for user, waiting for a new window to open, but in exchange, allows for less likelihood of mixing up charts, and less need for the user constantly looking up and down.
