Per #63, lots of issues have been discovered where certain buttons + effects (like focus, predominantly) are broken on different platforms. We'd like to support IE9 and recent FF/Safari, and those are occasionally having problems. See #63 for a full breakdown of the various platform-specific issues that can happen.

This is basically done, but we still need to do another pass post deploy to check on a variety of machines.
