Choppy audio when accessing from remote #113

I like to connect to my sBitx from the office, through extremely good Internet connections, 10Gb/s with quite low latency. I noted that the audio is choppy, and the RX is basically unusable in any analogue mode that involves listening.

My guess is that the implementation of audio buffering in

https://github.com/drexjj/sbitx/blob/main/web/pcm-player.js

could be improved.

Hello. What software version are you running? Are you connected via WIFI or ethernet? What model of the Raspberry Pi are you using?

ffurano commented 12 hours ago

Hi, I have the latest and greatest sw of 2-3 days ago, on a default raspi4 It's on the same wifi as my KiwiSDR, which works nicely

ffurano commented 12 hours ago

Ah, from the same Wifi it works fine. It stutters when I come to the office. Ping time is 24ms, bandwidth is very high.

Ok to understand correctly.. When you are on the local WIFI network then the audio is ok, but when you are on another network either VPN or cloud connected, then you experience latency?
