After suspending when in chroot, Chrome OS stops accepting input #80

I opened my chroot, and worked in it for maybe 30, 45 minutes, closed the lid, reopened it, then needed to check something in Chrome OS. When I tabbed back to Chrome OS, no keyboard or mouse input is registered, except switching back to the chroot with shift+ctrl+alt+->. I can still hold the power button for ~10 seconds to force powerdown when in Chrome OS. My Chromebook is a Toshiba Chromebook 2, with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of SSD.

EDIT: It's related to closing the lid (suspend), and not time open.
