Configurable MMS use/ignore option #28

Open GoogleCodeExporter opened 9 years ago

GoogleCodeExporter commented 9 years ago
What steps will reproduce the problem?
1. Receive an MMS message

What is the expected output? What do you see instead?
Expect to have a configurable way to have it set off Klaxon (and optionally
consume it) or ignore it

What version of the product are you using? On what operating system?
v.21 KaosFroyo v38

Please provide any additional information below.

I see that Klaxon can't parse MMS messages for the substring. However, it would
be great for those who know definitively whether their on-call pages do or do
not come in as MMS for Klaxon to either blindly treat any MMS as a "page" and
do the pager options as set (other than, of course, substring -- i.e. consume
message or not, etc.), or treat any MMS as "not a page."

If MMS is supported this application is really a great pager+ because some of
the application send page with Hyper links small images etc. Especially
T-mobile treat them as MMS. I appreciate your help

MMS support would be greatly appreciated. I noticed that after switching to
T-Mobile pages are sent as MMS as opposed to SMS and Klaxon is unable to
intercept these.

would loooove MMS support if its possible...

When Zenoss (the app we use to monitor our systems) sends out an email, SMS
cuts almost all the important details out. With MMS, I can see the details
without going to my email.

It is not possible to receive MMS messages, or even to reliably detect that one
has arrived.

apologies,

Android API 19 seems to have added support for MMS, any chance of revisiting
this issue? The T-Mobile gateway in the US is sometimes sending SMS and
sometimes MMS based on message length :(.
